‘The serpent deceived me and I ate’
The enormity of that act,
The enormity of those words,
The enormity of the consequence.
In dying we die.
But God,
Omnipresent.
Omnipotent.
Omniscient.
Knowing from the foundations of the world
It and we in it would fall from the lofty position He gave us
And so, had made a plan.
The God-Man.
Yeshua.
Salvation.
In the fulness of time came.
His very soul –
Sinless, spotless, righteous
The polar opposite of us
Now long bound, fast-bound, in sin –
Made intercession for us.
Messiah is He
Died for the ungodly.
The righteous for the unrighteous
The Divine exchange.
The Saviour came
Upon an unassuming cross on Calvary.
He won life back for you and me.
He on the altar became The Sin Offering.
He alone bore our sin.
He Himself bore the divine justice against sin
His body broken for us
His sinless blood flowed for us.
‘It is finished’.
‘Messiah died for the ungodly’.
The enormity of the act.
The enormity of those words.
The enormity of the consequence.
Resurrected on the third day.
And so, in Messiah we live.
Nothing will ever or can ever remove this truth
Whether believed or not
It happened in history.
Why?
Because God so loved the world that He sent salvation,
Yeshua. His only begotten Son.
To break the power of sin which brought death into the world
And pay its ransom demand which in our poverty we could not pay
And to bring us the gift of eternal life.
Knowledge of the One True God and the Lord Yeshua, His Son.
A gift that we cannot earn and do not deserve.
Through His grace, by faith in Him.
This is the Good News the world so desperately needs.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
(John 4:16)
Will you receive the Gift?
How does one get such a Gift?
Change your mind completely about the direction of Your life. How? Simply this: believe on Yeshua the Messiah and you shall be saved (John 3:16; Romans10:9). Without Yeshua the Lord we are heading further away from God in our sins towards its end result. You see, the truth is, if you remain in your sin, one day (and it could be sudden, without warning) you will have to appear before the Holy and Righteous God – in all your sin: every thought, every word, every act, every sensation and feeling, every touch, every emotion, every intention and motive, all of it – laid bare before the eyes of Almighty God. Everything will be called into account. You will have to answer the charges. Outside of God’s own provision for our rescue – faith and trust in the atoning and sacrificial death of Lord Yeshua and His resurrection for redemption from sin– there is only one answer to the charges of our sin. GUILTY. The sentence? A fiery judgment of punishment until you repay what you owe, and since you will never be able to pay it, it will be an everlasting punishment in hell, which itself will be thrown into the lake of fire (John 3:16-18, 36; Revelation 20:11-15). By the way, did you know the Judge before whom you will have to bow your knee and confess to, is the very One who suffered and died and gave His life that yours might be redeemed and that you might be saved from judgement?
So, the question again:
How does one get The Gift of Eternal Life?
BELIEVE God’s testimony about His Son, the Saviour, Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) and turn from your ways – which is sin – to God and obedience to Him, to do His will (repentance). If you truly believe in your heart that YESHUA, THE SON OF GOD, DIED FOR THE UNGODLY AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD and confess this freely, openly to God – who knows all hearts – you will be saved. It is in outline above, but I urge you, read the Gospels in The Bible which tells you who the true Yeshua truly is and what He truly did and what He will yet do when He returns. There’s four – Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. Read them all, continually, together with the rest of the word of God, the Holy Scriptures – it will never get old if you will open your heart to Yeshua.
You can come to God now, right where you are and pray to Him through the name of Yeshua His Son, the Messiah, trusting in Him with a true heart. Confess you are a sinner to God, acknowledge that you have sinned against Him but now want to turn to Him and obey Him. Ask for His mercy and forgiveness – for He is faithful to forgive – to cleanse you from all of your sin through the shed blood of Lord Jesus His Son and ask Him for the gift of eternal life. And thank Him, for Lord Yeshua His Son, the perfect Lamb of God who alone takes away your sin through His atoning sacrificial substitutionary death on the Cross (note John 1:29) and His resurrection (see Isaiah 53).
If you are serious, you must turn from your sin. God has commanded this. Be willing to do this and He Himself will help you by giving you His Holy Spirit to endue you with His power to believe and do what He commands when you put your faith in Lord Yeshua. Begin to grow in the knowledge of God and His will for you by reading His word, and daily spend time speaking to God (prayer) and listening to Him (through reading, thinking about and doing what His word says. Seek His will – and do it, for this is essential (see e.g. Matthew 7:21-27). Tell others what God has done for you and find a bible-believing and teaching community of believers in Lord Yeshua who will help you to grow in faith, to live out The Faith and to serve the Lord as you wait on His return – for He is coming again for those who love and trust in Him (see e.g. John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18). Expect opposition but trust in God and be steadfast in the faith in Yeshua the Messiah which God will impart in you, knowing He has set you free by the truth of God and gifted you with SALVATION BY HIS GRACE, THROUGH THAT FAITH (Ephesians 2:8-9). God will be with you and will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5-6) no matter what difficulties come in this life because of faith in Lord Yeshua, seeking to live holy and godly or even just as a result of the world in these end days we live in. In believing may you know the peace of God which passes all understanding and whatever come, may it always rule in your heart through faith in Yeshua (Philippians 4:6-8).

I do not always agree with everything that is said by any of these suggested teaching resources and I would urge you ALWAYS to test everything against the word of God, asking the Spirit of God to guide you in His truth.
The Gift in summary:
‘For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord’ (Romans 6:23)
May you through the grace of God keep close to Yeshua, your eyes upon Him and this Scripture at the forefront of all your days:
‘Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but have the light of life.”
(John 8:12)
God bless you.
