The short of the long?

By the grace of God I’m a Spirit-born (John 1:12-13; John 3), bible-believing believer in Almighty God through His Son Yeshua the Messiah and Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit.  I believe, according to the Word of God, that it is BY GRACE that I have been saved, THROUGH FATIH and not by my own works (Ephesians 2) and that true salvation means regeneration in the Spirit and that means transformation from the inside out.

By ‘through faith’ I mean faith in Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who died for the ungodly and therefore definitely for me too, who is the only begotten Son of the Living and One True God – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  I believe He was supernaturally conceived in the womb of the Jewish virgin Miriam (aka Mary), born and raised in Israel, preached repentance and obedience towards God, the Gospel of the Kingdom and taught the truth of God with signs and wonders following: the sick were healed, the blind saw, the deaf heard, demons cast out, the dead was raised to life, sins forgiven.  For He was Immanuel – God with us (Matthew 1:23).

I believe Yeshua lived a perfect sinless life fulfilling the Law of Moses and according with the foreknowledge of God, laid down His life, becoming the Sin-Offering on a Roman cross, fulfilling the prophecy in Isaiah 53 in His sacrificial atoning substitutionary death and the shedding of His sinless blood – Messiah died for the ungodly, the Righteous for the unrighteous.  I believe that after His physical death He was buried, according to the Scriptures, and rose bodily from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures and was seen by His disciples and over 500 witnesses (1 Corinthians 15:1-6).  I believe Yeshua ascended bodily into Heaven from where He came, that He is at the right hand of God the Father in glory and with all power and authority and that He will return to earth in glory and power (Acts 1:9-11) to judge the world.

I believe that the Bible – the Holy Scriptures – in original form is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 33:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13) and therefore without error and hold it to be the first and final authority in and over my life, over the Church (The Body) of Lord Yeshua the Messiah and all matters, according to the will of Almighty God.  I believe its testimony about the Lord Yeshua in whom is all my hope.

I believe Yeshua the Messiah will return and reign on earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:1-6) after that this The Great and final Judgment when this present world and all its works will be burned up (1 Peter 3:10) and that there will be a new Heaven and a new Earth in which righteousness and all made righteous through the blood of Lamb, whose names are in His Book of Life will dwell with God.  As it is written:

‘ Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.’

Until then? I’m just walking and learning, learning and walking in the light of the truth in Lord Yeshua seeking to grow in His grace as a ‘Titus 2 woman’ – encouraging other women and sisters in the Lord Yeshua to, together with me, look to Yeshua, ‘the author and finisher of our faith’ (Hebrews 12:2), trusting in the promises of God in Messiah, learning and growing by the Word of God (1 Peter 1:22-2:3) through the power of the Holy Spirit in the grace of God. May Lord Yeshua, the Son of the living God, who gave Himself for us, ungodly sinners and redeemed us by His own blood, may He be glorified to the glory and praise of God the Father.

‘Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth.’

(Psalm 115:1)

Amen.
