Valued by the Father in Heaven

No words can describe that deep sense of awe, grateful thankfulness and comfort when a Scriptural truth in Lord Yeshua for our peace is quickened to our soul by the power of the Holy Spirit.  It is often all the more amazing when it’s unlooked for and seemingly just out of the blue.

As I was reading through something, and came across these words, in connection to property values:

‘The value of a thing is the price someone is willing to pay for it’

We know this to be true already, right?  Of course, we do!  Yet, this fact hit me with full force in the light of what God the Father was willing to pay to redeem sinful man! To redeem sinful me, even me!

The first Scripture which immediately came to my thoughts were the words of Lord Yeshua, as recorded at Matthew 10:31, underlined below.  In Matthew chapter 10, w have the account of when the Lord Yeshua sent out His chosen 12 disciples in His power and authority to preach the Gospel, heal the sick and cast out demons (Matthew 10:1)  As the Lord gave detailed instructions to His disciples for this mission, along with warnings and encouragements, He also instructs them in the fear of God above any man – man, who can but kill the body but cannot destroy your soul, which power belongs only to God.  But the Lord also went on to add that they should not be fearful about this and shows them how valuable in God’s sight they are, saying this at Matthew 10:29-31:

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.
30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.’

The more I thought on the value the Father in Heaven placed on souls of men, further Scriptures came to mind, underlining this awesome and wonderful truth:

18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition
from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you (1 Peter 1:18-20)

and, of course:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  (John 3:16)

We will never value another person, no matter how much we love them, nor will we ever be valued by those who love us any where near as much as Almighty God, our gracious, loving and merciful heavenly Father has valued us through Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

How can we not trust and obey Him, no matter what comes, no matter what does not come.

May we continue in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Yeshua to increase in the obedience of the Faith of Yeshua the Messiah with full assurance in the truth of the Holy Scriptures concerning the love of God towards us who believe.  May we increasingly walk in His light and His truth according to the word of God and show forth His glory and grace to a world in utter darkness that they may know their souls are valuable to God the Saviour, ‘who desires all men to be saved and to come o the knowledge of the truth’ (1 Timothy 2:4)  Amen.

May God bless you.
