What is acceptable to God?

The Answer: What things are written for us from Genesis-Revelation as taught by The Teacher (see e.g. Matthew 23:8, 10) through the Spirit of Truth (see e.g. John 14:16-17 & 25:12-15).

One small example came to me this morning.

To do righteousness and justice
Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Proverbs 21:3

As I was writing out this verse which so struck me in my journal I was reminded of the words of Apostle Paul at what turned out to be at Ephesians 5:10 (I had wrongly thought it was Romans 12:1 and found it wasn’t!).  Ephesians 5:8-10, (verse 10 underlined) says this:

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light  (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),  finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

This then pointed me back to the annotation of the Scripture verse reference I had made beside Proverbs 21:3 at an previous time of reading of Micah 6:8, which says this:

He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love
mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

May the Lord Yeshua help us all to continue on in Him who has made us acceptable to God through His own blood, finding out what things are acceptable to our heavenly Father and grace to help us do His will, His way, especially in these of increasing spiritual deception, wickedness and evil darkening days.

Glory to God for that word of encouragement at 1 John 2:20-21, 27:

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.  I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

and

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

God bless you.
